1 Tunable optical filter based on multilayer photonic structure

    Author: Vinay Kumar,(Pages: 451-460)
    Email: itas@aacsjournals.com          DOI: N/A

Abstract:A novel method to design the tunable optical band pass filter using multilayer photonic structure has been proposed. The multilayer structure has been suggested choosing Ge as high refractive index material and ZnS as low refractive index material. The refractive index of both the materials has been taken as wavelength and temperature dependent. So the allowed bands can be tuned by varying the temperature without changing geometry and angle of incidence. Keyword: Photonic crystals, Multilayer structure, Optical filter Download:

1 OPTICAL AND STRUCTURAL STUDY OF SOME BII AVI BINARY COMPOUNDS

    Author: Monika Sharma, Sushil Kumar, S. K. Sharma, P. K. Sharma,(Pages: 461-472)
    Email: itas@aacsjournals.com          DOI: N/A

Abstract: The compounds BII AVI (ZnO, CdO, ZnS, CdS, ZnSe, CdSe, ZnTe, CdTe, HgS, HgSe and HgTe) and their alloys have been the material of considerable technological interest. Polycrystalline films of CdS, CdSe and CdTe have been deposited onto ultra clean glass substrate by sintering process. 10 min sintering time and 227º K sintering temperature were found to be optimum. The optical band gap of these films were determined by reflection measurements in wave length range 400-900nm. The crystal structure of these films was studied from X-ray diffraction patterns. The films were polycrystalline in nature having hexagonal wurtzite. Sintering is less time consuming, less pollutant, of maximum material utility and offers a suitable method for preparing films. 1 Triply-Diffusive Magneto Convection in Viscoelastic Fluid Through Porous Medium

Author: Pawan Kumar Sharma, Himanshu Malik, Vivek Kumar and Pardeep Kumar,(Pages: 495-510)
    Email: itas@aacsjournals.com          DOI: N/A

Abstract:The triply diffusive convection in a Maxwell viscoelastic fluid is mathematically investigated in the presence of uniform vertical magnetic field through porous medium. Using linearized stability theory and normal mode analysis, the dispersion relation is obtained. The magnetic field and solute gradients are found to have stabilizing effect, whereas medium permeability has destabilizing effect on the system for stationary convection. Graphs have been plotted by giving numerical values of the parameters to depict the stability characteristics. Further, solute gradients and magnetic field are found to introduce oscillatory modes in the system, which were non-existent in their absence. The sufficient conditions for the non-existence of overstability are also obtained. 1 L(-SEMI OPEN, OPEN) MAPPINGS

    Author: Kapil Kumar Sharma, B.S. Sharma,(Pages: 511-519)
    Email: itas@aacsjournals.com          DOI: N/A

Abstract: J.H. Park, B.Y. Lee and M.J. Son [5] introduced and studied -semiopen sets in a similar manner as semiopen sets were introduced by N. Levine [3] just replacing open sets by -open sets. Using these -semiopen sets M. Caldas [1] studied several mappings and separation axioms in topological spaces. Being prompted by the same we study “L(-semiopen, open) mappings which carry open sets inversely onto -semi open sets. The new class of mappings is found to be a super class of the class of super continuous mappings of Munshi and Bassan [4] and a subclass of the class of semi continuous mappings of Levine [3]. The new mappings are also compared with other forms of continuous mappings. Various characterizations properties of the new mappings have been established. The convergence -semi convergence of nets and filters have been studied to characterize the new class of mappings. In the last a few separation axioms relevant covering axioms have also been studied in the present context. Keyword: SEMI OPEN, OPENDownload:

1 Cyanobacterial Flora in Rice Fields of Dehradun and its Adjoining Villages of Uttarakhand

    Author: Pragati,(Pages: 521-523)
    Email: itas@aacsjournals.com          DOI: N/A

Abstract:In the study of soil samples from rice and non-rice fields collected from Dehradun and its adjoining villages of Uttarakhand, a total of 20 cyanobacterial forms belonging to 5 familiars were identified. Blue green algae are another type of biofertilizer in rice fields used as an algae form. It was observed that the area was very rich in heterocystous cyanobacterial flora. Cyanobacteria are plants of lower series, as well as unicellular bacteria of filamentous shaped. Cyanobacteria are autotrophic bacteria. 1 STUDY OF SUBSTRACT EFFECT ON MICROSTRIP LINES FOR HIGH Tc- SUPERCONDUCTRORS AND ANALYSIS OF PULSE PROPEGATION

Author: V K Suman, Santosh Kumar Jhha, Ranjeet Kumar,(Pages: 525-536)
    Email: itas@aacsjournals.com          DOI: N/A

Abstract:At low temperatures, The microstrip with superconducting strip and ground plane features almost lossless transmission up to ƒgap. This makes the superconducting microstrip superior to one made with ordinary conductors. We have also seen that the effect of the imaginary part of the surface impedance on the phase velocity can be neglected. The attenuation of the superconductor at low temperatures is les than 10-4 dB/m for all frequencies below ƒgap and the pulse is propagated with no distortion. For a longer propagation length or a smaller dielectric separation h, the advantage of the YBCO microstrip line is more dramatic. The advantage of YBCO microstrip line over normal metal copper is most significant for very small dielectric spacing where the conductivity attenuation is greatly increased.
